- You need a dedicated export MPAN, separate from your import MPAN
- HH data is required for accurate payment
- Register the export MPAN with an SEG supplier or PPA counterparty
- Allow 60–90 days for the first payment cycle
Get an export MPAN
Your DNO issues a separate MPAN specifically for exported power. Your installer usually handles the application on your behalf.
Half-hourly data
SEG and PPA payments are calculated on HH export data. Smart meters and modern generation meters handle this natively.
Register with your supplier
You then register the export MPAN with an SEG supplier or your PPA counterparty. Payments start once the first read is validated.
Watch the settlement lag
First payment can take 60–90 days while the export MPAN goes live and the first HH data settles.
